The EPICENTER Major 2019 in Moscow is the fifth Major tournament of the Dota Pro Circuit 2018-2019 season. 16 teams will participate in the event hosted by the famous CSKA Arena, battling for an overall prize-pool of $1M and the much-coveted DPC points that will bring them closer to the year’s most anticipated esports event, The International 2019.

As the last DOTA Pro Circuit Major of the 18/19 Season, Epicenter Moscow will gather 16 of the best DOTA 2 teams in the world for one last big showdown before long-awaited International 2019.

Starting on June 22nd with the Group stage, EPICENTER 2019 will continue with the Playoffs on June 24th and immediately after that with the final stage, on 28th-30th of June, at the CSKA Arena formerly known as “VTB Ice Palace”. Both the Group stage and the Playoffs will be played backstage while the Finals will take place in front of a live audience.

The overall prize pool for the tournament is a whooping $1,000,000, with $350 000 for the tournament champion. Additionally, the winning team will also receive 4,950 DPC points counting towards the International 2019 qualifiers.

EPICENTER MAJOR 2019 – FORMAT

Here’s how the the EPICENTER Major 2019 will unfold:

The Group Stage: 22nd -23rd June

The group stage will take place following the global guidelines of DOTA 2 Majors, with the top 2 and bottom 2 teams deciding the upper- and lower-bracket seeds of the Playoffs. Games are played as BO3.

The Playoffs: Startuing 24th June

Playoffs will be played in a double-elimination format over five rounds, with 8 teams in an upper-bracket and 8 teams in a lower bracket. All matches are played as BO3 except Lower Bracket Round 1 which are BO1

The Finals: 28th – 30th June

Played in front of a live audience, the EPICENTER Major 2019 Finals will be played as BO5

EPICENTER MAJOR 2019 TEAMS

16 teams from all over the world will participate in EPICENTER Major:

      • 12 participants will be decided via the open and closed qualifiers for Europe (2 slots), CIS (2), China (2), Southeastern Asia (2), North America (2), and South America (2). These will take place between 12th – 19th May 2019.
      • 3 spots will be decided by Valve.
      • 1 team qualifies as the winner of the StarLadder Ukraine Minor.

EPICENTER MAJOR 2019 PRIZE POOL

A total of $1,000,000 in prize money and 15,000 Dota Pro Circuit will be split among the 16 participating teams at the EPICENTER Major.

EPICENTER Major 2019 Prize pool and DPC points split:

      • Champion: $350,000 and 4,950 DPC
      • 2nd Place: $200,000 and 3,000 DPC
      • 3rd Place: $140,000 and 2,100 DPC
      • 4th Place: $90,000 and 1,350 DPC
      • 5th – 6th Place: $60,000 and 900 DPC each
      • 7th – 8th Place: $30,000 and 450 DPC each
      • 9th – 12th Place: $10,000 and 150 DPC each
      • 13th-16th Place: $5,000 and 75 DPC each
