These are the groups of the ESL PRO League Season 9

Following their recent announcement of the format revamp for the ninth season of the PRO League, ESL released the groups structure for  the 9th Season  of the CS: GO league.
ESL Pro League Season 9 2019 Groups

Groups were determined through the new seeding system based on the ESL World Ranking which ranks the best CS:GO Teams worldwide. It’s split into the Power Ranking depending on the players results at top tournaments within the last 6 months and the Club Ranking depending on the team results within 12 months.

Following this criteria, the ESL Pro League – Season 9 teams were placed in the four different groups per region based on their ESL World Rank on January 9th in order to allow teams enough time prior to the beginning of the new season to plan around any other events they’d want to attend.

The next possible date to take the World Ranking as a basis, after the conclusion of the IEM Katowice Major, would have left the teams with only a month before the start of the season, and thus no chance to properly plan their schedule.

Here’s how the ESL World Ranking looked on 9th of January:
